We have noticed that those people who are confident actually draw others to them. It's one of those laws of attraction, confidence, actually helps others to feel confident as well. There are many ways that you can learn how to be more confident and begin to exude this confidence and draw others to you as well.
The first thing you need to do in order to become more confident is believed in yourself. You know what you are capable of, you know what you're not capable of, and you know how fast you can learn those things that you're not capable of.
You must have faith in yourself that you're going to be able to handle the situation. As you become more faithful to yourself, understand yourself better, and test your ground, you're going to become more self-confident.
Act confident. Smile. Hold your chin up. Stick your chest out. When you do this, you will feel confident. Remember, YOU are the authority on the subject and they want to hear what you have to say.
Let your shoulders widen, rather than pull back. Don’t try to force a posture but try mentally giving your body directions.
If you are smiling inwardly, you will start smiling with your eyes when you look at people. And looking at people, rather than the floor or your drink, or whatever is in your hands, is part of the process. Mentally think, “there are interesting people here I want to get to know” – focus on others, be interested in them rather than how you are feeling.
Learn from your mistakes. Making mistakes is part of your learning process. Scott Adams, creator of Dilbert, said, “Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.”
